Violinist, Composer, Painter

Sarn Oliver studied at Juilliard with Ivan Galamian, Sally Thomas and others. He has performed as a chamber musician, soloist and orchestral musician in Asia, Europe, Russia and the United States. 

He founded the Tilden Trio piano trio and Served on the board of the Contemporary Muisc group Ebb and Flow arts.  Also a recording engineer, he created the SarnwWorks Label.

His Music Compositions are performed in Asia, the United States, Europe and Russia with most recent premiers of his Violin Concerto and Cat String Quartet in San Francisco. 

As a painter, Mr. Oliver works in several mediums, including large paintings that he calls his "Singing Paintings."  He creates these works along with a corresponding musical composition 

and then records the music so that it is heard when viewing the paintings. Mr. Oliver has been a member of SanFrancisco Symphony for over thirty years.

Shinya Abe is an acclaimed Japanese conductor, violinist, and violist known for his international performance career and dedication to humanitarian music education. [12]

He performs extensively across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, balancing roles as an orchestral conductor, chamber musician, and string soloist.

He frequently organizes specialized chamber series and solo string recitals, including

viola recitals and complete performance cycles of masterpieces like Mozart's sonatas for piano and violin. He collaborates regularly with prominent artists like pianist Yuko Matsumoto. []

Abe is deeply recognized for his work in the West Bank, where he serves as a guest conductor and instructor. He teaches young musicians at the branch schools of the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music (ESNCM) in Bethlehem, guiding the Palestinian Youth Orchestra and chamber music classes.

He serves as a jury member for various international music competitions.

Jonah Kernis, born in New York City, began cello at age three. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the New England Conservatory where he studied with Paul Katz, and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree at the Curtis Institute of Music with Nick Canellakis, Yumi Kendall, Christine Lee, and Peter Wiley. He also studied at the Juilliard Pre-College program with Natasha Brofsky and at the Special Music School

with Yari Bond. Jonah is an avid chamber and orchestral musician, He is a substitute cellist with the Boston Symphony Orchestra.As a member of the Alira String Quartet, he received the NEC Chamber Music Honors and Borromeo String Quartet Guest Artist awards. He also won the NEC x A Far Cry Collaborative Competition. As soloist, he recently won the NEC Lower Strings Concerto Competition, performing Dvorak’s Concerto with the NEC Philharmonia. Jonah has attended festivals including Tanglewood, Taos, Aspen, Yellow Barn, Greenwood, Bowdoin, and Kinhaven.

An accomplished soloist and chamber musician, EVELYNE LUEST has been hailed in the San Francisco Examiner as a "virtuoso pianist sailing through complex demands … impressive piano technique" and in Fanfare Magazine for her "fine musicianship. Luest finds the right amount of emotion, at times allowing the music to speak so powerfully for itself". She has performed and toured in Europe, South America, Asia and the USA. She has won

several competitions including the Artists International Competition in New York as soloist, as well as many awards and grants with the Contrasts Ensemble. Ms. Luest has performed as soloist at Carnegie Hall, the Spoleto Festival of Two Worlds in Italy and on NPR’s St. Paul Sunday. Her many collaborations include such noted musicians as cellist Truls Mork, flutist Emmanuel Pahud, cellist Joshua Roman, the Lark Quartet, and the Daedalus string Quartet.  Her performances include festivals and concert venues in Norway, France, Japan, Spain, Switzerland, Venezuela, Canada and the US. Ms. Luest's long list of premieres includes compositions by Ned Rorem, Joan Tower, Aaron Jay Kernis, David Lang and Lisa Bielawa. She studied with Gilbert Kalish at SUNY/StonyBrook, where she received an M.M. and D.M.A. in piano performances.
