<image:caption>Born into a family of musicians in a small town near Kaliningrad, Russia, Irina was often serenaded to sleep by her parents reading J.S. Bach’s gamba sonatas on viola and piano. These early musical experiences nurtured a lifelong passion for collaborative performance. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1998, Irina has built a vibrant and multifaceted career as a performer, collaborator, and educator. She has appeared as a soloist with the Russian Chamber Orchestra (until its dissolution) and as a chamber musician in the Noontime Concert Series and the San Francisco chapter of NACUSA. Irina maintains an active teaching studio and serves as pianist and a co-music director at Community United Methodist Church in Half Moon Bay. She is also co-owner of Gradus Ad Parnassum Music Academy, which she runs together with David Chernyavsky.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Sergey Gutorov currently holds the position of Principal clarinet in Chicago Philharmonic Orchestra, Principal clarinet in Sarasota Opera, Principal clarinet in Des Moines Metro Opera and Assistant Principal/E flat clarinet in the South Bend Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Gutorov frequently performs with the Chicago Lyric Opera, Fort Wayne Philharmonic orchestra. He began studying the clarinet at age 9 with his father in Kursk, Russia. At age 14 he was accepted into the Moscow State Wind College and graduated with diplomas in both clarinet and conducting. He also received a diploma from the State Classical Academy Maimonid and diploma in Orchestral Studies from Roosevelt University in Chicago. From 2008-2010, Sergey was a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. During this time he was a featured soloist in Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Prior to entering Roosevelt University, he held the positions of Assistant Principal Clarinet in both the Ministry of Defense Orchestra of the Russian Federation and The Moscow Symphony Orchestra. His principal teachers include Sergey Gutorov Sr., Vladimir Sokolov, Evgeny Petrov, Ivan Butirsky and John Bruce Yeh. Review by John von Rhein “Chicago Classical Review The golden oldie was Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto, winningly played by the Russian-born clarinetist Sergey Gutorov, a “musician member” of the Chicago Philharmonic, who played from score. His exemplary technique and classically poised musicality were on full display, sensitively backed by Speck and an ensemble of about 18 players. Gutorov’s breath control allowed him to spin seamless phrases with tonally mellifluous ease. He “sang” the cantabile of the central Adagio with feeling, and the playful interplay between clarinet and tutti in the Rondo finale made its wonted effect. Luke Fitzpatrick, flute Lauded by the South Florida Classical Review for his "vivacious and buoyant" playing, flutist Luke Fitzpatrick has been the principal flute of the Fort Wayne Philharmonic since 2015. During the summer, Luke also plays principal flute with the Des Moines Metropolitan Opera and played principal flute with the Sarasota opera during their 2017 season. Participating in summer music festivals is one of Luke's greatest joys as a musician. He has spent summers at the National Orchestral Institute, National Repertory Orchestra, Music Academy of the West, Aspen music festival, the National Symphony’s Summer Music Institute, and the Chautauqua music festival. While living in Los Angeles, Luke developed a passion for chamber music where he collaborated with artists such as Grammy-nominated pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet and the Ebene Quartet. Now based in Fort Wayne, Luke is spending more time pursuing outreach and his love for teaching. He is the co-founder of the Bonita Boyd International Masterclass program, which meets annually at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. Luke's teachers include Bonita Boyd, Jeanne Baxtresser, Alberto Almarza, and Jim Walker.</image:caption>

<image:caption>John Mello has been teaching music for more than 25 years. He has taught hundreds of students, at all levels. From the very beginner, looking to enjoy playing the music they love, to advanced musicians wanting to fine tune their skills. While attending Musicians Institute’s Guitar Institute of Technology (or GIT for short) John decided he wanted to experience and teach a wide variety of guitar styles. After graduating with the Gibson Guitar sponsored Outstanding Student Award, he has continued to broaden his musical experience by attending educational workshops and retreats with the likes of Tuck Andress, Robert Fripp, Adrian Belew, Joe Pass and many others. John went on to become one of the core faculty members at the Bay Area’s Guitar Activity Center, a teaching and live performance workshop program for adults. Beginning in 2006 Baywood Elementary School in San Mateo invited John to conduct the School of Rock seminars at their annual Art & Science Day. These are informal demonstrations showing how Rock musicians interact while performing and the role each instrument plays. Summer 2011 John taught at College of San Mateo Community Education’s College for Kids program. Cool Guitar, was a three-week long course for 5th to 9th graders helping them discover the skills that all bands use to create music. Starting in the Fall of 2018 John was asked to join the faculty of Crystal Springs Middle School to run their guitar program for sixth, seventh and eighth graders. John continues to stay current and involved with the music industry by maintaining NAMM membership, attending trade shows and music festivals.</image:caption>
